Consultant – Technical Director

As a Professional Civil/Structural Engineer, Thomas brings over 32 years of experience in the construction, design management and design of several oil and gas projects for clients such as ENOC, EPCL, SABIC, DUGAS, DUSUP, related industries such as LAB plant for EMALAB in Jebel Ali, Petroleum fuel pipelines for ENOC, Tank Farms for ENOC, Feasibility studies for jet fuel pipelines, Turbine maintenance shops for OSC MJB, Air craft hangers and re-fuel as well as storage facilities.

He was involved as design and design implementation team member of major projects like Emirates towers, Al Ain Hospital, EMAL Smelters, DEWA headquarters building etc., whilst each of them were unique and first of its kind in the region.

Thomas’ primary role in ALTA is to make sure that all stake holders (Client, Project Managers, Consultant, contractors and sub consultants) get equal and deserved rights in a project cycle.

Thomas will focus his attention on ensuring that the much required Consultants role and contractors role are correctly implemented by Project Managers in a fair contractual manner. It has been identified that this will ensure that the project as end product gets executed correctly in all respects.

His role will be to remain as independent as possible in giving direction to project managers on a case to case basis by approaching projects in its entirety and to continuously evaluate projects with this approach.

Thomas is a post graduate degree holder in Civil-Structural Engineering was academically destined for research in computational structural engineering, though he pursued his career in practical engineering consultancy profession implementing the same on a case to case basis. He therefore has vast leadership experience in BIM implementation as well and linking with technical design softwares.
